Best thing Ian Curtis did was top himself.
That was his greatest contribution to music. It was a huge sacrifice and kudos to him for making it.
Joy Division were are good band in that era, but they would have faded into history just like the Buzzcocks, Psychedelic Furs etc.
But New Order which rose from the ashes of Joy Division are pure fucking genius.
There would have never been New Order and all the fucking amazing music they have created if Curtis was still around.

While I dont necessarily agree with your views Rooter, I will defend to the death your right to state them.

And yeah, New Order are tops. Joy Division just holds a special place in my heart cause I'm a miserable bastard.
