I don't know how relevant my 2 cents will be, but my last experience at 42 Gladesville was pretty poor also (And as they blocked me I guess I'm banned there also). Booked at 10am, for an evening session, rocked up and was met with a confused receptionist who tells me the girl I booked cancelled her shift. No apology, no notification from them. Only when I write a negative review did I get an apology and a "huge discount" offered ($20).

Management from 42 - Please stop using "huge discount" as it can be interpreted so many ways. Also your example of being happy getting $30/h to sit and drink beer or come back is a bit weird to use, as getting paid and a discount are 2 entirely different concepts and what people are happy with will end up varying person to person.
I hope you take this criticism constructively as I really have no bad blood with you, just giving you my perspective, take it or ignore it, up to you.

I do believe Lenka has contributed a lot of info to this forum so I hope you guys can come to an amicable resolution as I personally feel it'd be a shame if this forum lost a person adding so much information for us punters.

We all make mistakes and sometimes end up cancelling bookings at last minute because of so many reasons! Punting is punting!!

Best wisdom in service industry. Countless times I myself experienced this, as well. Objectively speaking. Restaurants, for example. If you are rude AF you will find lots of staff spit into your food. If you are nice and ask politely you will get extra portion no problem, with a smile on top. And hotels, for example. Some people try to get angry and threaten a lot of stuff when they dont get what they want - they ended up just getting ignored or blacklisted by whoever is in control. Some people just be very polite and nice, and ended up getting upgrades and freebies and a lot of stuffs. its human nature to be nice to nice people, and to get angry at jerks. Sadly a lot of people dont understand this.
