My partner received the result yesterday and HSV-1 virus and blisters were detected on her female part.
I think that's bad, but also glad it wasn't HSV-2.
I will go and get myself checked out over the weekend. Beforehand, may I ask a couple of further questions:
1. Since my partner is now HSV-1 positive and if I'm not, we would like to have a family (involves BBFS) in the future. Does it mean this will not be possible without me being transmitted too?
2. If HSV-1 couldn't be detected on my dick, does it mean HSV-1 only lives in my mouth/lips? hence, I should avoid any kissing activities/sharing food etc. in the future to not spread this virus further.
I understand this virus won't kill but it's annoying. Up until now, I have not discovered any obvious symptoms or it doesn't bother me physically yet.
But now, thinking back, I wonder why I often have cold sores during winter. But warmer seasons are fine.
