And he could have been a client instead and we would have done the same without any hesitation, but from memory, we never paid for brothels or escort service, it's better to have a massage shops appears on the credit card statement than other business. But although we didn't go to any brothel, they usually signed for more than $100 tips even for those all inclusive massages, so I think they were having more than a happy ending, go figures.

My point is, what I stated above is part of business, right or wrong, it's generally acceptable because you are entertaining a VIP. But if I would have gone to Babylon by myself and spent $400 on the company credit card, then I think it's a fraud!! Can everyone see the difference here?? I would be doing a Craig Thomson!!
Hi Ahlungor,

As usual you have a good point but on this occassion I can't quite agree. I think the logic is flawed to basically say it is fraud if someone goes to a brothel on their own with a business credit card but if they happen to go with other staff members who may be visiting from another office and put it on the same credit card then that's accepted as business entertainment for that company. It is just using a group situation to justify something - as if to say 'well if I go with enough people then they can't sack us all or I was with the senior guys so that's OK'. Besides how do we know Craig went to these places on his own because if he was having dinner with other people on the same card then maybe he was taking them to the brothels as well so according to the group logic this would then mean that what he did was perfectly acceptable as a business practice because he wasn't on his own.

I remember my first business trip to China a few years ago and we went out to dinner with our colleagues and when I got back to my room there was a really hot girl in there and I almost had a heart attack as I thought I had walked into the wrong room but she gave me a card that read 'With compliments, enjoy the night, Mr ZYDHDH'. The next day the guy told me he specially selected the girl for me a week in advance. It is not just overseas that it happens as I had my most amount of girls when I first started working here but that's another story.
