"Should" indicates that in a given situation, there is an outcome that, while desired, is not guaranteed.
eg. "If I pull this wire, the robot should stop ruining everyone's shit."
"Would" tells us that there is an outcome which happens whether we like it or not.
eg. "Even if I told it to stop, the gorilla would still throw shit at me."
