one possibility (that I'd been thinking about long before the outbreak): rental gf.
a girl will make herself available as a guy's GF for a week or two, for a reasonable fee. in essence it's still sex work, but they pretend to be in a short term relationship.
of course it's not for everyone, and the biggest problem is how much the guy is willing to pay and how little the girl is willing to accept.

At liaisons, a girl can easily take home $1500 per day, $6K per week. while I'm happy to fork over $350 for an hour with a stunning blonde, is it worthwhile to pay $12K to have her as my girlfriend for two weeks? (with additional costs of meals, dates, etc)
