Mate, your last line of Imagine if the Aussie were 9 for.......... got me thinking:
Think the first Ashes Test in Trent Bridge 2013, a young all rounder from Perth? Ashton Agar on debut, batting at no. 11, came out to partner the late Philip Hughes at 9 for 117. Little would we know that’s a history making moment, Agar went on to hit 98 off 101 balls ! Hughes remained on 81 not out, a new world record of 163 for the 10th wicket.
To me, that surely beat yesterday’s dismissal of those spiritless Indian who probably didn’t want to be there. Think of what Hughes and Agar did to Swann and Jimmy Anderson when they were well on top and in front of a noisy full house of Barmy Army, that’s what Cricket is all about man !
Go Aussie !
