try and get a morning flight from Australia so you arrive in the afternoon, than at Bangkok Airport go down to the Bottom Level and catch the Blue Cabs, they are like a private taxi, turn right as you exit the building when you see the taxis, and you will find their service desk, they are a lot safer than the public cabs green and yellow cabs,
the price is fixed so no need to haggle, make shore you get a contact number to call to arrange for your pick up, you might be better off staying your last night in Bangkok especially if you have an early return flight,
At First i recommend you have at least 10K Baht with you, you can use the ATMs at the airport, Cash is KING Still in Thailand,
at the hotel they will ask for a security deposit, pay cash, than you can use the return deposit to pay for your cab back to the airport.
Thanks mate, yeah looks like alot of scammers especially the airport transfer. I'll be using revolut as everything is off the books but that first wallet load is a big one to remember
