That's exactly it. And I reckon, to understand exactly what you're sacrificing for this form of entertainment, you'd have to look at it based on items of equal value. For example, 4 - 5 punts = a brand new iPhone pro max in your pocket. Or 1 punt = an entire quarter's electricity bill. 1 hour of fun vs keeping the lights on for 3 months... It's a no brainer!
