Extras cost more for poor effort.
I like to think I am not a big consumer which is why I haven’t been a good reviewer, and my regular suppliers don’t want any publicly.
Now with many of them away or gone, I have started to try new locations to suddenly realize like everything, it is costing more for less quality.
Have others notice massage door prices in many shops increased by $10-15 in the last 6 months to $85 for an hour.
With in room extras now asking around $100 on top of that just for NHJ?
With little trust in some locations, some ML wants the money first, that sort of breaks the moment to gives the feeling the experience and quality isn’t going to be much to remember or write about.

Yes, they are all very good at swindling and bamboozling, these are not massage shops that offer massage remember. Just go to another one: there are atleast 5 in every suburb of Sydney that want your business... find a good one and stick to it, if they start treating you ill, move to another one.

Best bet is to go to a shop with good girls and a good reputation. Some shops like Ada's shops in Stanmore and Five Dock, the boss won't let the girls overcharge on extras to protect the punters.
I agree. Money first is a mood killer. I don’t know what goes through their head to ask that. For me that’s the first red flag, they have probably had some customers leave half way through because they have very average service and they probably think they are doing a good job and the customers are the problem.
It's honey first now for me, as I've had to many dud punts I regret paying for.
I went to three shops before I was given the opportunity to.pay after.
I've had ONE out of four new who asked for $200, and when I declined, she quickly dropped down to $150. Myself, I can decide for myself when I need protection. I just mark it as "It never hurts to ask". If she can get it from some, good for her. Keeps her working, hoping for similar, but my experience, girls are smart enough to know it won't happen with all. All the other punts, well, they were repeats, even if 9 months later, and no prices increases. Seems my demographic values repeat business.
Over the decades, I've experienced price increases in a number of climes.. My canary in the coal mine is when your regulars are always busy... THEN, it's time to re-evaluate your ceiling. Until then, I find a simple, polite "No thank you" can be very effective in generating a price reduction.
Perhaps that IS a benefit of being... you say old, I say experienced. Girls know they can outrun me. it's rare that I've been asked for money before, and I do have to suppress a knee-jerk reaction to run (take my advice, pay AFTER should be your mantra when dealing with bar FL's).
But here, it doesn't disturb me that much the few times it's happened. She doesn't know me and, unlike a bar FL, much less likely she'll renege. Given it's a transactional BUSINESS, not a mood killer for me, just a bit of a surprise. I view it as an investment - she won't be worrying about being paid in full as she's probably been burnt by some. I've always paid in full, whether before or after, even if some specs were not met (e.g., BBBJ becomes CBJ). Pay AFTER ONLY works when everyone does. Only in the most severe cases do I cut the payment, and the only thing that comes to mind is when LT becomes ST, and I'm NOT talking MINUTES ("Oh, I paid for 60, got 45"; nah, that's a yellow, not a red). I just don't repeat, and write an AR (which, here, would seem to be especially damaging... baa baa baa). Smart SHOPS want the customers to be happy, and should/do cull staff when necessary. It also pays to be on good terms with management.
To paraphrase someone here, don't expect a gourmet meal at a fast food cafe. Personally, the only thing I expect is to have a nice time, and most every time I have good to great, sometimes amazing times. Most times, that 10 in looks, expert masseuse, and 10 in bed... she's NOT working in your corner RnT. Having realistic expectations cuts both ways, provider and client.
Regardless, NOW I KNOW what HER experience is like with ME. Knowledge can be expensive, but it does beat "wondering..." I'm just NOT a woulda/coulda/shoulda type.
Gee, I have the opposite ratio: 4 shops, 1 provider requested the service fee up front (massage fee ALWAYS paid up front - well, a couple of times, just given to the girl, not the desk). None disappointing.
Maybe it's just that the Asian culture respects the elderly, and the girls know a player.
