All those other things that you've listed above, I reckon LNP wouldn't have fared much better.
Agree , Pauline Hanson harped about being flooded by Asians when in the last Census it was shown Indians were the largest race of immigrants.. evident by most fuel convenience outlets owned and staffed by them , contract workers and labourers by employment agencies and high proportion in government transport services

Jesus christ dude where do you get your bullshit stats and racist stereotypes from? Yeah it's the 3.8% Aboriginal population spending your precious tax dollars, not the fucking multinationals who strip our natural resources and pay no tax or royalties that are the problem. Go and suck Gina Rinehart's dick and keep voting for the pathetic policy black hole of the LNP.

As a fall out from the crushing defeat in the latest Federal Election, the National Party just announced that it will not form a coalition with the Liberals. Albo and the Labour Party will be in charge for the next decades or two ??

Pretty sure the last time the Liberal party won an outright majority without the Nats was with John Howard in 1996!

As least the Liberals have Prayer Room Timmy back in the house. The TS and Rent Boy brigade will be celebrating.

It’s unbelievable the damage Morrison and Dutton have done to their party. It’s in tatters and may never recover hence the Nats cutting them loose.

Just a little power play my friend. Pretty sure Nat's actually won a seat, so they are a long way ahead of the problems the Liberals have. There needs to be a policy reset from the conservative side and the Nat's aren't going to wait. The bush can't win the majority vote but when 34% can govern the country there is a lot to play for 😎

Actually Howard did it again in 2004.

34% primary vote isn't the same as total vote in our preferential system though. You can vote for others to send a message etc but your vote is still counted towards the party you'd prfer over others. The three greatest things about or electoral system is compulsory voting, preferential system and an independent electoral commission that sets the electoral boundaries and prevents gerrymandering. The USA is fucked on all three counts.

Actually Nats ended up -1 seat. Nothing like the Libs loss. Won’t matter if they can’t win City seats. Teals have basically wiped out Libs in Sydney and can see them getting stronger each election as they have already. They actually get out amongst the constituents and listen. Libs arrogantly didn’t.

Do you really think they own most of those stores or they're just willing to take shitty jobs?

It always cracks me up when I see an Indian standing next to Pauline Hanson! Seen a few of those campaign videos with south Asians pictured supporting her...recently had a chat with a colleague about this and he said something really interesting, he said most of one nation supporters are migrants! I'm not sure about this but If this being the case then good on Pauline!

Going to stick my neck out by saying, migrants are the most racist cohort within the Australian community. And there are reasons. They are threatened by the competition from newer arrivals. And more so, I think, because they come from highly racist countries where race is used as a primary divider. So it makes sense that they are attracted to Pauline Hanson. She’s a nasty bit of work, but she is cunning and knows how to stir division.

Outrageous. But yeah, every country is. Racists voted in Trump and Brexit, Abbott; and were prepared to vote in Dutton a few months ago, before they had second thoughts. In my experience, everyone is racist until they get to know someone they were once racist about and can no longer stereotype them.

And barely. By 1 seat I think (based just on Lib numbers, not coalition combined).

Nah, apparently we’re not racist, we just don’t like Indians (and/or whichever other migrant group the government is ‘letting too many in!’ at the time).

as much as australia is racist to indians or whatever group.... those groups are equally if not more racist to each others. for instance, indians are very racist.

Yay! Blind racism and prejudice will bring us all together as a common bond! Let's keep making blanket statements about individuals for the good of humanity!
