just gonna put my two cents out there, but as a woman, yes we do care, we actually care A LOT, we just tend to be more forgiving with it. I guess because women seem to want or perhaps need the love/romance/stability of a relationship more than men do. also because the fact that sex is not really shamed for men means it’s harder to find compared to women.

women care about men’s body count mostly because once you frame your brain to work a certain way (i.e. you are used to indulging in casual sex, having variety, etc) it is very hard to switch that “off” and be a 100% faithful partner. and most (if not all) women get very hurt by cheating, infidelity, etc. Also it can show us a lack of discipline, self control, we fear being compared or not being the best in some aspect (performance, looks, etc), and probably fears about the ability to bond or whether your partner CAN bond after viewing sex as something so casual rather than special/intimate. like, if i hand my body over to you, are you just gonna use me like you did with the other 100 girls, what makes me really that special?
so yeah, maybe as women it’s not the same, we don’t feel humiliated or embarrassed by our partners having a high body count, which I imagine men feel, but it definitely does affect a relationship and we definitely do care (especially the good women).
