What she did wasn’t good. If all this post does is raise some more awareness to help other punters not get scammed or lose money like this then why not?
i agree here. we all like to think we're tough and all that but lets face it, we are all human and all it takes is the right pussy with the right con talk to come along, and it could happen to anyone.

Fair. I heard of this story a while back from an ML who worked with the ML in question. I don’t know the poor chap who lost the $50K. I just heard she walked away from him without paying. I didn’t get much else of the story. If the chap himself didn’t bring it up why would I? They may have resolved the issue between them.
Again, this may not even be the same ML we are talking about. Which is why I asked for confirmation and didn’t mention any names.
I know how OP can maybe send a message to said ML if she has blocked him. Just trying to assist another punter out. I know lending money to an ML is fraught with risk. But not all MLs are going to run off with your money. Thinking with his dick or not, he attempted to help another human. And got stung. If it was me, I wouldn’t expect to get that money back.. but if I was asking for help I would appreciate any help I could get.

Be skeptical, cautious, but not all requests are scams; some are valid. Except for an institution, e.g. bank, consider any "loan" to family, friends, strangers, a GIFT. Never "loan" more than you can afford to simply write off. If it's paid back, be pleasantly surprised. If it's not, it's not. Let it go, lesson learned.

I did let it go for a long time. But after knowing she did it to others - not letting it go anymore.
This is not a shop problem - the shops were always professional and good to me.
I also helped other MLs who paid me back so this person is just of bad character.
Luckily, I have been good to my regulars and maintained a respectful relationship and they already helping me gather what I need and ways we can teach her she can't do this to people.
