ML borrowed few K and disappeared /blocked me

I can honestly say i didn't expect to read blokes lending cash to MLs and WLs. Not something I'd ever do for 2 reasons.
The first being the nature of how you two meet to begin with its a sketchy game we all play , and secondly simply due to a deep distrust of people in general.

Not shaming anyone though. We all tread life with our own values and opinions. Just not something I expected to read about here.

A few years ago, a ML, I’d been seeing borrowed a few K from me. She gave me a sob story, and I fell for it - admittedly thinking more with my dick than my head. I transferred the money, and not long after she came back from overseas, she blocked me and disappeared without repaying a cent.

Recently, one of my regular MLs told me that the same woman apparently scammed another client out of around $50,000 - same MO, a few dates and meetings outside and then blocked after getting money.

Back when we were seeing each other, she got pregnant (not by me) and told me the father had bailed. I felt sorry for her and stayed involved longer than I should have. Eventually, she hit me with another emotional story about her family being in trouble overseas. So I transferred money and then she blocked me not long after she came back from overseas.

I know I was naive, and I take responsibility for getting sucked in. But I’m curious - has anyone else here crossed paths with this woman or been through something similar?

She was Vietnamese and used to be regularly reviewed on here.

My regular ML said she is going tell the other punter that got conned by her as well. I really want to do something about it - I forgot about it for awhile but so angry now that I got told that there is others out there.

Man, you got played. This scam’s common -they pretend not to offer full service, then make an exception just for you. Add unprotected sex, fake emotions, number-swapping, and suddenly you think you’re special. Its all part of the setup.

She sold the "you’re different" illusion to get you emotionally hooked. You drop your guard, open your wallet, and start chasing the connection. From there, she controls everything - the pace, access, and eventually, you're left drained and confused.

Then comes the Im pregnant and doing it alone act - using a kid and fake independence to make you feel like the only one who cares. Just another move to dig deeper into your wallet and mess with your head. Classic manipulation in a sob story wrapper even while her body is in tatters after getting preggos.

It feels real because thats how the scam works. Dont beat yourself up, but don’t keep faling for it. Keep your head clear. If it wasnt transactional from the start, it was manipulation.

And like I said, its usually the less-attractive ones running this play - and from the convos, she def fits the bill.

They like keeping "nice guys" around for their own ulterior motives.

Fellows, take note of Legend2000Â’s story and let it be a reminder of how vulnerable we can be. Situation like this is far more common than you think and to those of you reading legend2000Â’s situation thinking less of him and you are far too smart to be victimised, just remember your famous last words.

WL/ML knows in their occupation, they are in a favourable position to victimise men to scams with a high success rate. You might be going to the gym 7 days a week built like a shithouse but that ainÂ’t going to help protecting you because they attack your emotions, and the kinder you are they will see you the weaker you are.

ItÂ’s not just money they be scaming, just remember whenever they propose any kind of request/favours regardless whether you can fulfill it or not, decline it and make up a legitimate excuse of why you are unable to assist and watch their reaction. The one who are pro’s will try to extract you from a different angle (marriage, business partner… etc) once you make it clear you have no serviceable value to them, you will see the truth how they really feel towards you.

I have heard and seen countless of brothers gone down this path and been taken to the cleaners. Majority of them I’ve come across were commonly target by the WL/ML at budget shops and 30 plus, experienced and knows how to play men.

I’m not saying 100% of WL/ML are all like that but I have never heard or met anyone end up with in a long term ending.

Legend2000- my deepest sympathy and I hope you will track her down and recover your losses.
