Put your vagina away and grow some balls.
Ask.
What are their opening hours? Do they have hicaps?
How are they dressed? What are their massage prices?
I walked by a Thai massage place in Wynnum the other day, it had the tinted windows and a flickering 'open' sign like the regular Asian massage shops which offer extras. How can you tell if a spot like that is strictly legit or if they offer 'extras'? I want to avoid an awkward situation by asking the wrong thing and copping a mouthful.![]()

Honestly it really isn't rocket science. What does the lady look like? What's she wearing? Is there HICAPS or a form? Is there any sign or mandate saying boxers on? etc?
101 is to go starkers and put the towel on top (as that is perfectly legit still) and they'll offer extras to you on the flip sometime if on offer. If they don't, then I wouldn't try and get grabby with them or propose it on a first visit at least.
Just book in a massage. When they leave the room, take everything off and lie down, cover up with a towel just in case. Keep your legs apart a bit. It'll be legit if they tell you straight up to put your undies on. If not, when they go for your legs, they'll probably move up a bit further than 'normal'. Make a movement or noise to indicate you like it. They'll either stop doing it, or give you more. At about the half way mark, you'll have a whisper in your ear 'do you want extra?' Ask what's on offer. If you don't get asked, you probably won't get. If you ask, you'll either have an embarrassing moment, or you'll be straight up told it's not on offer. You'll either have a massage where you blow your load, or you'll have a likely really good legit massage. After 33 posts, you'd think you would have figured this out by now yeah?
I've been to a hicap shop b4 and was offered. I reckon 99% of the shops will offer it really IMO.
Generally the late Open hours are a dead giveaway. A professional isnt gonna be working after 7pm
Not totally correct. I know of legit Thai massage shops open until 8:00, 8:30 or even 9:00pm. But many legit Thai places just have curtains surrounding the tables so I would think very low chance of any extras. I think the best you could hope for would be some TT under the towel. Some do have rooms with lockable doors so maybe you could get lucky there.
Went there Saturday, lady insisted I put my undies back on as they "are not one of those cheap and nasty Asian shops".I assume there is some form of hostility between the Thai and Asian shops.
Massage was top-notch though, so not a complete waste of time/money!
From what I’ve seen, most Thai massage places — even the ones inside shopping centres — if you become a regular, you can usually ask for a happy ending.
This simply isn't true. As an owner of multiple legit Thai massage shops, I can confirm that there are plenty of shops that only offer legit massage services. My shops are in shopping centres, with nothing to indicate any extras being available, but they still get asked regularly.
If you want to know which shops offer extras, just do some research on the forums & online. And don't hassle the legit shops.
Your best chance of identifying potential shops which offer extras could be - is the shop open late at night? - does the shop offer health fund rebates? - are the shops staff hold Australian massage qualifications? - Can you see inside the shop from outside, or is it blocked out with photos & open signs? - Does the shop advertise online with focus on the staff's looks? - Does the shop advertise massage services on sites such as Locanto under personal services?
