What you are saying is correct but only 'treponemal antibody tests (like EIA/CLIA) detect antibodies that often remain in the body for life', but you don't have to take these tests because the right one is the non-treponemal test (like RPR) and in that case if the treatment for syphilis is 100% successful the test [ RPR ] will be negative.
