Arrived around 11:45, made my way to 679 Pittwater, Chinese Massage. Looked a lot better than the Google Maps street photo would indicate. Up the stairs. As I was making my way up, heard a female voice call out for "Cassie" (best I could tell). At the top of the stairs, waiting for me was an attractive mature Asian. However, the hair, makeup, sharp clothes STRONGLY suggested "mamasan" - "I don't dirty MY hands". I used 50% of my Mandarin to say "Ni Hao". She replied "Oh, you speak Chinese".
Top of the stairs, looking right, looked like a break room, could see what looked like a large stainless steel fridge (just a guess). To the left, 3 rooms, 2 doors closed, 1 door open. In front, slightly off to the side, another hall leading ? Looked like a rather large business.
Ms Elegant led me off to the left, last room, door open, saying I could wait there. I asked who was working today; she just gave another shout to "Cassie". Small room, basically a massage table and a wobbly chair. Those fit with what I was looking for, and even the "No Sexual Services" sign in the room, but the rest... little too nice. Never been to Dee Why, maybe it's an attitude of "we're closer to Manley, Mosman than to Campsie, Blacktown.
Another mature Asian appeared, bit plainer than Ms Elegant, looking like a soon to retire elementary school assistant principal. To ME, dressed in outside, civilian clothes: dress hemline below the knee, dress neckline "proper", no cleavage showing (and from what I could tell, no cleavage TO show). "Cassie" told me they were quite busy (at 11:50); if I WANTED, I could wait. No offer of water; no inducement via description of who else, if anybody, was working. Seemed to me it was the polite "brush off", giving me an out. I took it. I gave the polite thanks, but no thanks via the universal "I'll come back later" (translation: when my contact list has exploded). Down the stairs. Good news: saved the $70/hr massage fee ++ because I wasn't there for a NHJ. Better news: B1 upper deck, front row, for the return to the city center.
After several hours of reflection, I MIGHT have been too hasty. I'm sticking with Ms Elegant as the mamasan, even owner. Now if she were to offer... but she didn't while I waited. The hair, makeup, clothes, they DON'T get mussed up, at least from the likes of me. "Cassie" MIGHT have been the assistant manager (there to deal with the hoi polloi), or maybe the receptionist. Her dress just didn't indicate provider, though I didn't stare long enough to determine if a white strip was the dress's design or a slip hanging down slightly below the dress hemline. Just didn't speak "participant". With some shops, you just get a feel of possibilities. Here, no. Maybe the 2 closed doors were busy workers, even though there were NO sounds emanating from either of the rooms, and it was close to top of the hour. I just didn't feel the vibe that it was worth waiting to see who/what EXACTLY the possibilities were. I could be wrong. Maybe Cassie was "commando" under the dress; maybe the day shift massaged bored Asian housewives while it was the swing shift who handled the male evening rush hour... For ME, I'll just have to wonder; the price (time/money) not worth the knowing.
