I'm just curious when you visit other users accounts, it mentions referrals on the bottom of their page ( it's the page where you can see the users threads that they created and the amount of posts etc)
How does one give a referral to another user? And in what instance would you give one?

Well, I am one dumb member, as I can't see how to change the view. I know I've set it to computer on both computer and mobile - my brain can only process one format. But how... lost to somewhere.

OK, found it. I have 1 referral. Maybe I'm special, maybe I don't have to start from zero. Maybe I voted for myself. Got me. Hell, knowing me, maybe I've been referred for disciplinary action: Bravo, meet ROOT.

Can I email a link to a friend?
Another useful email function is the ability to send a friend a link to a thread you think they may find interesting. Whenever you view a thread, you will find a link somewhere on the page which will allow you to send a brief message to anyone you like. Your referrer ID is added to the link you send, so if your friend registers on this forum as a result of viewing the link you sent to them, your referrals total will automatically be credited.

What can I say? Good education, touch typist, on a Remington; know what a <cr> IS. Like to spread the work amongst ALL fingers and both thumbs... And with computers, easy to multi-task. I heard that with 3000 posts, you gain access to the Aus99 Cabal's private database of providers. Guess I heard wrong; maybe it's 5000.
But I do appreciate mobiles - fantastic for keeping in direct contact. It was a much different punting world before mobiles/SMS.
