I wouldn’t hold out for a meaningful reply; that might be somewhat out of character. Do you remember that truly annoying twat in school who’d barge in on other’s conversations; make some snide comment only vaguely related to the topic and then burst into laughter as if he’d just heard the funniest thing in the world?
