I've dated a WL from a popular shop and she's told me the brothel don't do visa checks. The industry is seedy and rotten with no checks and no enforcement from the immigration bureaucracy. But on a side note, this entire country in every key facet is rotten anyway.
Which is EXACTLY why you should be voting for Pauline Hanson and One Nation as Labor has allowed immigration to be far too easy and out of control. It's clear that now is the time to no longer pick from the traditional 2 parties. We need a paradigm shift in our country. Unfortunately election date is still 2 years away.
Because right now as it stands it's hilariously gobsmacking easy to just get a tourist visa to come to Australia THEN switch to a student visa and work in the brothel. And if the student visa application fails you can then switch to a pending protection visa which the department then grants a temporary stay visa called a bridging visa a/b/c, and this is where the Australian bureaucracy is hilariously useless, enabling an extreme ease for any WL to game the system, the the protection visa takes many many years to finalise. Aka reject, so they use those many many years available to look for someone to give them PR. Its hilariously foolproof. And you really only have the bureaucracy to blame here. Don't hate the player.
The bureaucracy has become effectively useless and, i too have personally noticed, growing increasingly overwhelmed. Its buckling under its own weight. Everything is taking longer than it used to be.
And it's not a difficult problem to solve. It starts with parliament and we need a government with a significantly stronger anti-immigration stance to counter balance the damage done by letting in migrants here. We all had a glimpse of what Australia could be during covid where immigration came to a halt and life actually became easier for the average Australian.
So you have WLs or handlers who games the system and brothels complicit by not doing the checks that a legal business should and the bureaucracy is too overwhelmed to do anything about it because it can only allocate its resources only for worst cases e.g. this news article. But make no mistake, the industry complicit.
It's honestly an illegal network capitalising on NSW being completely legal with sex work. For example, it's literally impossible to just bring those Japanese WLs straight to Australia on a foreign workers visa. You would have to arrange them to say they're working in a job that allows them to be granted the worker visa AND THEN once they come here they go straight into sex work instead. And with said, the customer base is also complicit through demand and hence you have news articles like these lol.
The only reason the government legalised brothels is money because they pay over a million a year to council to maintain a permit. That's all our government cares about. So yeah, smell the roses.
When you see WLs with boyfriends or a husband or that guy who drives them to work, it all started as a PR visa arrangement. In saying so, the WL won't just pick anyone to give them PR, to them the relationship has to be capable of being or at the very least come across as genuine otherwise they risk not being granted PR but if they feel they're not going to get PR they can call the police and file a domestic violence complaint against the sponsor and boom she gets PR through family violence provisions.
Ever since i went back to Chinese workers it's truly insane how often the topic gets brought up to me. Think about it, Australia is the easiest country to get rich for anyone who works hard enough. In China, you wouldn't be able to save anything. But again this only benefits the immigrant because they send the money back to their home countries. It's not like you can do the same thing as an Australian resident. They make $5k a week untaxed.
So yeah, the current system freaking loves immigrants
"The Nixon review examined the "almost industrial-scale" exploitation of vulnerable temporary migrants and international students amid a wider review of Australia's immigration policy.
Former Victoria Police commissioner Christine Nixon found "abuses of sexual exploitation, human trafficking and other organised crime" due to loopholes in Australia's immigration system."

Nothing will change. This crackdown is just to appease the public to keep the system just barely functioning.
