I’m not sure “she’s ordered a hit on you”. I’d assume this is just a money making scheme. With the bait & switch scam x% of punters will still pay and go ahead with the booking. The y% that don’t they can send this text and z% will pay the fine.
You’re probably fine as $600 is probably not worth actually coming after you. I hate to dob but if you’re concerned you should contact the police.

Ok, that’s an important detail you left out if they have your home address. That is concerning.
If you pay they’ll probably keep blackmailing you and asking for more. If they do tell anyone does it really matter? What friend or family member is going to listen to some stranger talking about prostitution? And if they do, will they just think they’re crazy or believe them? You can always deny it.

Don’t send them shit, do it once what’s stopping them from milking you for as long as they can. Like blitz said there’s google info on this scam, even if they contact people you know just feign ignorance and say you got hacked and you’re being scammed. As others have said, it's a scam. You obviously have proof of the message, you should have the number it was sent from.

I periodically get an e-mail FROM my personal e-mail account (spoofed sender), "proving" that they're in my computer, and if I don't pay, all my "dirty secrets" will leak. Nah, still have bladder control. I just forward the e-mail to my e-mail company and delete.
I would just make a complaint to nsw police.
There is no question, black and white that is intimidation/extortion.
It's a criminal offence.

I've blocked them and will probably not bother escalating this further,
who know how they might react given their behaviour is already out of line.
Overall a good lesson to not go private, stick to shops.
Spoke to a mate, he basically said that scammers can get your identity in Australia through pay Id or other payment apps.
WLs who are salty sometimes drop your number in their private Ugly Mugs database which is watched by Indian and Nigerian scammers.
Apps like Beem literally leak your photograph and name.
Once they get your first name and photo from beem and last name from payId, it's just a matter of finding all your socials - LinkedIn, Facebook etc. and blackmailing you.
top reason I never use my phone number for any punts, always through an app.
Yeah it's like Bravo said, because everyone has got the scam emails saying "we have web cam footage of you wanking to porn" (even though there is no cam) "and we'll send it to all your family unless you send bitcoin to x address" - everyone will think this is just another of those and no one will believe you go punting.

I went to a private once when the picture on Locanto was of a 19 year old with a hot body. Door opens it's a 25 year old with a hot body that looks nothing like the picture. I was 0% surprised and fucked the shit out of her anyway. If it was day and night then I fully understand taking a walk.
Age on escorts and babes said 29 with pic of a tanned sexy woman with long hair and a hot body.
When the door opened, it was an extremely pale white woman, atleast 40+, beer build, saggy tits and the whole lot.
To make matters worse it was a small room in a shit apartment with a diffuser which was not helping mask the stench of cum.
I directly asked if she is the person in the photos, she lies and says yes, i said pics don’t match and left.
In that case you shouldn't have walked, should've ran.

a few years ago i had similar. one of the well known wl here tried to extort me. made all kinds of threats etc. said she knew my address etc. (which is theoretically possible given the amount of times i saw her) told her to f off in a firm way. and never heard from her since.
OP i suggest you do the same
