I've noticed a lot of sex workers (SWers) want PR. But it got me thinking about Australia, that is, aside for money, is Australia even that great?
I would never do it though but aside for the money, what's so good about Australia that SWers wanting PR is so common? Or is it just the money since I couldn't fathom growing up in an average country.

I was once told by a taxi driver in Adelaide that it was the best place on earth and he would never consider living elsewhere - turned out he had never left Adelaide. I didn’t doubt his commitment rather his data input.
I can understand this logic but also wouldn't it make sense to make money here and set yourself up back home to live an even more comfortable life back home?
A WL told me makes 40k AUD a month, imagine if she did that for quite a few years and bought a nice place in her home country and make a few investments that pay dividends in aud but she's just cashing in the cheque back in her home county where $10 aud can buy alot in SEA

Those who choose to come here do so with a purpose in mind. Those who were born here without residential issues (citizenship via birthright which requires Australian citizenship parents) and raised here experiences the country in its raw form. Being raised in Australia without being born here doesn't count.

Australia is the richest country in the world. Yes, we whinge about house price and doing it tough everywhere. Yes, we are not perfect. But don't forget this, a lot of countries in this world do not have free medical care, education and access to clean water and there is absolutely no working opportunity. Precisely the reason why 50k people escaped from morocco to ceuta overnight.

Sydney at least is a good playground if you're rich, otherwise everything is becoming increasingly more K shaped.
Personally I am perplexed by the naivety of so many young people who think migrating to Australia will solve their problems.

Honestly the main draw for PR likely isn't to stay her forever regardless, no doubt it's to squeeze in as much of that high income time in to their prime years as possible. Hard to do that while juggling visas and worrying about being done by immigration with a pile of cash every time they fly back home I'd bet. Obviously there's a fair chance many decide it's damn nice being loaded in Australia and stick around, but I doubt it'd be a majority.
Yea but if she has the right visa, she can make bank here and go back home in her mid thirties and live as if she is a multi millionaire.

Perhaps you should learn by their example. Leave your home country, become an expat. From my understanding, like most countries, you stay out long enough, you don't pay Aussie taxes, or at least you only pay taxes on income (e.g. rent on your owned property) earned IN Ozland. Income earned outside is tax free.

To cease being a tax resident of Australia, you would generally need to depart Australia with the intention to live abroad for a minimum of 2 years, be accompanied by your immediate family/dependents, and have rented out or sold your home in Australia.
Easy, Peasy. Simple enough. You don't use any benefits of living in Australia, you don't pay taxes on the income where you're living (best if your employment is in a low tax/no tax country). Expat life can pay VERY WELL, with just a few inconveniences (dodging incoming - just keep your head down).

If you've been living in Aus for this long or born here or grew up here and haven't grown to appreciate Australia for what it is then why kick up a fuss on a punting forum and not just consider expat work or going to another country mate?
And mate do you wake up and look at the news and all the other countries around the world and whats happening? Yes recently the crime rates have gone up esp in melb but Aus overall is great compared to whats going on around the world and i feel blessed to be here.

I think your question has more to do with when they tried or got PR. I know of Thai WL who has bought PR, been in the country for more than 10 years, could retire tomorrow and live in anyone of 4 homes here or in Thailand. And I know of a more recent Vietnamese ML who was following the same route and found that she just couldn't make the payment schedule and survive in Sydney with the COL. The Australia will currently live in, whilst better than most, is ridiculously expensive if you are starting with nothing 😎
