The BBC report said the US sailors were doing shopping in supermarkets instead of flooding the bar and massage parlours looking for girls and sexual activities.
Those poor fucks are getting Airbnb's and resorts where they don't have to look at the same damn people they've been looking at for the last 9 months straight for a while. The shenanigans will start in a few days.
Well they said soldiers were shopping, that they’d been warned prostitution is illegal and one bar owner said it was quiet. Not sure why the BBC would make that up. I’m sure there’s still plenty of fucking going on.
Just got some update on the matter:
apparently before the USS AL's arrival in Thailand, the US Naval command had met with the Thai authorities "warning " them that this 5,000 crew had been under some extreme stress in the past 272 days at sea and strict control and policing will be necessary to ensure the US personnel will not be breaking any local laws.
More than 200 Thai police were sent out as advance "wash the floors" team to limit the availability or sex and drugs trades.

It is not that hard to pick most of them just by appearance, the way they move-especially in groups. Haircuts is a big tip off. Plus they will have their own military police parking those places and can recognise their own people.
