I was talking about this in the pub last night. One of my mates is about 20 years older than me. He said that in 1988 (he remembers that year because of the world expo, old fart) punting was much cheaper. Asians were $50 for 30 minutes and $90 per hour. Tiffany's was $90 per half hour and $150 per hour ... according to him.
I've just used the RBA Inflation Calculator to see what the figures should be today: Asians $100 for half hour, $180 per hour, and Tiffany's $180 per half hour and $300 per hour.
These seem to be close to what we actually pay today.
Lets see how it pans out over the next few years.
