Its clear we still havent got the class in batting we used to, when we had Haydn, Langer, Ponting, and Gilcrist at their peaks slaying the opposition bowlers
These guys made it their goal (particularly the two opening batsmen Hayndn and Langer) to dig in and to accumulate time and runs at the crease
A class international batsman should be relied upon to get a half century / 50 every 3 innings, and a 100 at least once a series, and thats just a modest expectation
Watson and a few of the others (Warner excluded) just dont have the starch to last for a long innings, even when their bowlers have done their fair share of work
