She is a good lady, with a respectable job in the government sector, she just wants to try something new
I toyed with the idea with her, but always in my mind the answer is a definite NO.
No way do I want to slide down that particular slippery slide to who knows where
And that would have been unlimited fun with a girlfriend, so no cost apart from the substance
Taking substance is never attractive to me
Life is enjoyable enough enjoy the pure pleasures nature already provides. No need to upsell to try to touch the stars
As so many have said already, your instincts are right, your emotions are wrong
And as others have suggested - get out of her life for a few weeks, and watch how quickly you will be replaced by another "admirer"
Its shallow pleasure, but interesting pleasure nonetheless
Its time to get off the daily bustrip to Party Central, and make it a monthly bustrip instead, and watch how quickly you are replaced, is my humble suggestion
I think you already know, that you need to be by her side frequently, otherwise she will easily find another partymate to enjoy the cheap $100 an hour enjoyment, and so part of your addiction is not wanting to lose her
But what you will lose, which is a good thing, is the descent to dangerous places
