I think dynamic pricing if managed effectively can maximize short term gains. Just look at the airlines and hotels, but those are extreme cases riding very heavily on special events and seasonality. I agree with brother Cloudybay that quality of the MLs and stanard and consistency in services are the key to success and these are always my personal advises I gave to all my friendly shop owners and I do believe they all working on that always. But girls come and go all the times so it is a never ending process and challenges.

I think there are always punters looking for a bargain !!

Although Sunday is a family day for some, there are still plenty of business for MS around Sydney, most people will go for convenient locations or favourite MS or ML, but if there is some special promotion, then why not??

Not sure if Vicky will run it again though, she did roster three girls again this Sunday so the odds is good to continue.

As another brother posted earlier, special like this you may need to run it for a month or a few weeks in a row to see the real effects. Make sense to me.

Well after runing if for a month or a few weeks.... people then expects this pricing to be the NORMS and beocmes "Commodity" prciong..i.e. .price keeps going down when it beocmes "Commditized:.

I think there are always punters looking for a bargain !!

I guess I will play a role to make sure my two favourite shops will not be cutting prices against each other. But for the general benefits of the Sunday punters, I don't mind seeing the shops taking turns to run special promotions every Sunday. May be one of these days I can take the advantage myself too!!

I didn't say they will do it alternatively. Foxy was right to say that she was tired doing the two weeks promotions. These ladies work so hard for their business, in Foxy's case she worked 14 days straight during that two weeks. And while she had dropped her cut to give a discount to the customers, she can't afford to pay for a reception otherwise it will be no income for the shop. So yeah, I won't be surprised if she won't be doing anymore promotion for a while.

Then it was Vicky's turn to try something and she also had to come in for the Sunday (only half a day), but still that was her only day off !!

So, at the end of the day, the lady boss will decide what they want to do, I will just make sure the promotions are not clashing !! You know you hated it, when both Channel 7 and Channel 9 have the show you want to watch on at the same time !!

May be my two cents do worth something here.

There are 14 runners in the race, but I have 3 horses from my stable in the same race.

All of them have good chance to win... May be 9/4 FAV, 3/1 and 5/1

Your job is to plan where to place the horse in the run and win the race.

Place the 3 horses in different races in different week and win all of them... (much better choice)

But winning the Cox Plate vs a good business Sunday are miles away!! MS business is a long term week in week out business, a little promotion can stimulate a bit of interest and perhaps attract some new or repeat customers. But you can not rely on it long term as part of your business model.

We all laugh at those stores that permanently has a On Sale sign at the front!! And how about those closing down sales that lasted more than two years.

The only way to secure long term and consistent success is quality of the girls and good standard of customer services!

That's the only good advices I could offer to my friends, no tricks, no gimmicks just good old hard works.

I have to agree long term success relies on the shop itself, the girls and the service.

For a change, I had a sore leg this morning (my two legs - not the little third leg in the middle.......haha) so I went to the shop to have a quick 30 min fix, Shelley was busy, luckily the boss just walked in, so went to the little room and have my "LEGIT" leg massage.

On my way out, Shelley just came out from room 1, WOW, she looks so dame hot today, wearing a very low cut short black dress with some see through lace covering the ample deep V cleavage, if I didn't have to rush back to work, I would have to have another quick session with her just to have my tits fix !!
