Once a punter always a punter? Probably holds true. The longest I've been without a punt is 4 years, that is because I had this HOT model like euroasian during my business trip in Canada. She was so good that I've found some of the pricier privates just average looking and not worth the $800+ hr asking fee, so I simply didn't bother to punt for awhile. Alas, look where I am now.
