If you want to suppress free speech, you should take it up with the Americans and complain to the United States Congress. And take it up with the U.S Military.

Ask them why they gave Americans their Bill of Rights and protect American's Freedom of Speech.
Here today, gone tomorrow. Seems mayflies are swarming this year.

I appreciate the German attitude. Free speech yes, but there are limits, limits that keep the discussion on point, rather than degenerating into personal attacks and name calling. Example, you can call a politician inept, but you can't call him a prick. Inept is a statement of his actions, prick is a personal attack, a crime (literally). Drastic yes, but just too many trolls online these days, hiding behind their anonymity. Certain internet attacks can escalate into physical injury by crazies (as happened in Germany).

I just don't understand how it is so difficult to keep within the rather loose lines of Aus99. Discussions and disagreements certainly, but the kindergarten name calling, yea... pass (well, for the most part).

This post too long? Suck it (referring to your smoothie; Acai's are great).
