Granted, punting in both Thailand and Japan were at the bottom of my lists of things to do there--I was in Thailand for an event, and seeing Japan and experiencing its food and culture for a second time (I was there in 2019) were my main objectives there. Still, I wanted to also experience what the punting cultures are like there.
