To be fair, in general English, mature can legitimately be used to describe someone's manner or style, not just their age or physical appearance - so in that respect, based on her photos only (I haven't seen her in person), the description could be accurate of her styling. Admittedly as has been pointed out in these circles the word is used almost exclusively to describe age / appearance and definitely does imply 30+ - so he's learnt something.
Ronron, I get what you mean based on her photos. The word you're looking for might be 'sophisticated'.
