in my unique situation, 3-4 hours is ideal at 500ppm. I know of SD's that pay allowance of $400 a week with one overnight stay per week.

It really depends on your discussion with the person.

In my understanding, if you choose the allowance route its more frequent meet per week and perhaps more cheaper ie $400 allowance per week for 2-3 times meet vs a $500ppm twice a month meet scenario.

On average for me, I would ask no less than 3 hours based on my situation. 2 hours is not VFM for me at 500ppm since I know I can get 3-4 hours on other SB's I've met before. Hope that helps.

Never pay for a deposit is good advice. I also don't pay when we meet, only afterwards.
