It's about discipline. Longevity and growth in these two business is measured by discipline.

Sports betting is very complicated and if you don't follow the sports and do a lot of research, it will be very hard to win big. You seems to have a good run of success in the Casino, why change?? Stick to the winners!!

Speaking of the winners, on the other hand, if you have a sizeable bank and you are not greedy, then you may bet big and win small and treat sports betting like an investment!! Take the NRL (rugby league) as an example, the top two teams, Melbourne Storms (won 9, lost 1) and Brisbane Broncos (won 7, lost 3), both have very good strike rates, to bet on them straight out to win, the odds are very skinny, most of the games Melbourne will be like $1.25 to $1.45 and Brisbane will be like $1.45 to $1.65 to win, but if you bet say $10K on each team to win everyweek since the start of the seasons, at the average odds of say $1.55 and $1.35 respectively, your $20,000 bank would have grown to $230,000!! not a bad investment.

Great on principle but very hard to discipline yourself not to take those exotic better odds like the team to win by 13+ points @$2.85 or double up and treble up a few games together, that how I lost every second week rather than winning like the Storms and the Broncos.

So once again, stick with what you know, if I have the right answer, I will be travelling around the world in a first class cabin rather than giving you my 2 cents here............LOL

Hey all, some crazy NBA going on these last few days. Anyways, had some spare time today to do some research for tomorrows game with MIA & BOS. The difference between OKC and BOS is that OKC is a much younger team, when they travel on the road they are not worn down that easily while BOS are as some other member said, old legs. BOS is already suffering from the overtime they played last game and with travelling to MIA it will take a toll. I expect MIA to dominate them every quarter of the game. BOS will not be able to move and defend like they would want to so I expect MIA to be running all over them and scoring big. LeBron has scored 129 points for the series while Rondo scored 96 then Wade with 83 and Garnett with 82. Miller is actually shooting 3's better than Battier so I expect Eric to put Miller up more if his back doesn't give way.

Now my strategy for betting tomorrow.

I will put $500 for MIA handicap for every quarter for a total of $2000.

$3000 for MIA -8 & doubled with OVER 179.

Lets hope all this research pays off because it's been a while since I won a bet on NBA.

However, 2nd half, they usually give up most of them, and in game 4, they actually gave up all of the lead for the game to go to overtime.

If you are losing on multiples, it's usually harder to turn around.
Even if it's only a double.

Change your bookie to pinnaclesports for single bets, they have the best odds. Typical opening line for NBA is 1.952 1.952

I don't like betting national team soccer, then I started studying about baseball, after soccer leagues finished.

So, let's try my first baseball tips on this forum, hope I'm still hot.

Texas Rangers @1.8 pinnaclesports looks very juicy for me, they are up against Padres, the ugly underdog, Ranger's today's starting pitcher isn't too good neither do the padres, I believe Rangers batter would spit too much fire to be stopped because of their pitcher's possibly poor performance.

NYM-1.5 @2.41 pinnacle, packed some value for bettor. Mets starting pitcher, Johan Santana, is a great pitcher, a week ago, he threw Mets' first no-hitter.

The reason? Because I've been winning for more than a week. Starting the first 2 days, I won 2 multiples in a row, besides of my single bets. With odds of >100 for the multiples.
Then last two days, I won two multiples again, with much lower odds, around 8 - 10. Of course the bets size were bigger than the one with >100 odds. Including the single bets.
So in more than a week, everyday's total, there was no single loss day, and it was solid profit number, esp. when I nailed the parlays. I bet upward of 7 games a day.

I know myself very well. I know when my run is expected to end.
But I don't know exactly when, that's why I still bet. With care of course. :smile:

That's the team.
And the name, it's the name of the starting pitcher.
A starter is very important factor.
Because the opponent's is able to score only if they are able to hit the ball that's thrown by the pitcher.

A starting pitcher, is like reversed role of PG in NBA.
They are the deciding factor of the opponent's score.


Try baseball, I found it pretty much different to NBA to handicap, in NBA, we can go with the trends, in baseball, the trends won't last, except for the game totals.
By the way, the Yankees is exception, they are on 11 game winning streak. The Bronx bombers have caught the fire lately.

I live off multiples, if there is no multiple then what is the point I say. I much prefer regular season NBA compared to playoffs as there is more to bet on. I've bet as much as 8 or 10 multiples on NBA and all winning, that's like 300 to 1 return plus bonuses. Next season I think I will make a killing on NBA, my bankroll is a lot bigger now compared to back then.
