However, what I learn from watching it.
Don't even bother watching it. Very fucking boring game.

Trust me. You don't really need to watch to win it.
Because there aren't much strategy to apply in a game beside batting, pitching, running, pinch hitting, etc.
No formation, no low post scorer, no triangle offense, no height disparity, etc.
Basically, it's just as simple as throw and hit, if you hit it hard enough, then it's homerun, if all the bases were loaded when you hit the homerun, then you hit a grandslam.
If the fielders were unable to catch before it lands, you can run and no out, if the base fielder have the ball before you arrived, then you are out.
That's it.

Just learn the percentages and averages of pitcher and batter. Also understand the terms ERA, WHIP, etc.
Four-seam fastball, knuckleball, curveball, changeup, etc.
Read the news to know who's good batting against who. Etc.
Who's good at throwing particular kind of ball etc.

Well, if you want something better, than you've got to watch it. But honestly, I don't have the time to watch such boring game. Well, it may be because of my nationality, American and Japanese love that game.


See, some baseball lovers (or American to be exact) they say soccer is boring and nothing beautiful.

Well, I actually talk about different things. Not winning percentage.
It's the edge, or how much the your advantage in statistical terms.
For example, in a european roulette, the one in the star, the house edge for straight number is 2.7%. It means, every $100 bet you make in roulette table, the expected value is -$2.7
Of course you are not gonna win or lose that much, because you are betting $100. But over the course of let's say 10000 bets. Then the average losses for every single bets is $2.7. Which means if you play 10,000 times you are expected to lose $27,000.
In casino, anyone telling that he's kiling the casino, he might be lucky this time, and better stop before the law of averages catch up with him. Any system is futile, it's just changing the staking, and expected value would still be the same. Quit while you are ahead, because you're just lucky.

For sports betting, this is much harder to calculate, and it's possible to make positive expected value bets on sports. And that's what I'm interested in.

It only required one loss to wipe out weeks of betting, this happened to me when the Clippers came back from nowhere to beat the Grizzlies during first round playoffs. Lesson learnt was I would rather bet $100 on 300 to 1 odds with the 1% chance of winning than bet $100 on the 90% chance of winning with low odds. Inversely it's a 10% chance of losing $100 for an $8 gain or a 1% chance of winning $30,000.00's while risking $100. You have to win a lot of $8's to make $30,000.00's.

Well, I believe it's still possible to gain +EV bet, that's what I'm learning.
It's true for poker it's easier to know the +EV.
For sports, there are some simple one, such as the value of buying half point on particular size of point spread.

I know what you mean. But with parlays, it's harder to gain consistent profit without proper staking.
Also, if the parlays were to include heaps of negative EV, then you basically amplifying the -EV.

Parlays are to bet on special case. Such as when the parlay odds is actually bigger than if you bet single bets.
There are some bookmaker that offer those kind of parlay for particular leg.
Obvious example is bet365, with their bonus.
However, proper staking for parlay is quite hard. Because it involve huge odds.

Well, the reason for Dodgers to go over.
Clayton Kershaw is indeed a teriffic pitcher. Winner of Cy Young award.
However, he's been a bit struggling lately.
You see in last few outings, though Dodgers get the win, he surrendered runs more than usual.
Against White Sox, he gave up 4 runs in 6 innings.

While Blackley, he just got back on his feet, when he started against SD Padres, but, Padres is shitty team.
Blackley is hardly could be called as untouchable. Last few outings not so encouraging.
Oak also scoring runs lately, against pitcher of varying quality, good or shit.

Well, I thought, 6.5 is too low. I guessed the runs would be at least 7.

I wouldn't suggest something like yesterday, Yankees Vs Braves or Mariners Vs Dbacks.
But in my rough estimation, the total would creep over 6.5

I'm working on a formula that will choose which team will win or lose based on their run average. I'm not sure what other data I should include to determine which team will win. For sports fans out there I have found an app that is worthwhile. It's called StreamTorrent, just leave it open for about 10-15 minutes after the install for it to connect to all the channels. After this you can do a search like "baseball" and it will come up with some very good quality video feeds. Cheers.

I have the Brisbane Broncos to win at home by 13+, from the kick off I knew I was screwed, I should have checked the weather, it was pouring rain, the bet should have been 1-12 and they won by 2 !! and the second leg alreay won !! Dogs by 13+

Then on yesterday, I bet on the Swans to win by 1-39, and the Eagles were favourite at home, didn't think the Swannie was that good, won by 50!! and again my first leg on Collingwood -13.5 already won too, what the fuck!! One team won by too many and won team didn't score enough.

If the results were reversed and the Broncos would have won by 50 and the Swan by 2, the 2 doubles will be both winning and I collect $935.10

That's called shit happens. That kind of things has happened to me. But lucky, I'm not betting parlay as main bet. The main bets are the singles. So maximum $50 for parlay.

But my parlays are always a long list. That's because my singles are a lot too.

Once, I had 13 leg parlay on baseball.
And, every leg is a winner, by the time of the last leg, it was a bet on the under. It was under 9.5 runs on minnesota vs Tigers.
And guess what,
At the very last chance, on the last innings, tigers scored 6 runs and the total ended 10 runs.

Yes I did, and thank you very much, I could have won more, but I couldn't resist the 14-1 for the Opals to win, so just put another $20 on it. never mind, but for 2 quarters the Aussie girls were looking very good. Cambage got 19 points in the first half but USA shut her down in the second half and they made too many mistakes and turn overs. The most stupid one was when Cambage looking to pass and stop to a stand still and the US girl came from behind and knock the ball out of her hands and ran 3/4 court to score untouched, from that point onwards, there was no coming back, but they did much better than the boys and the bet was never in doubt.

What's next??
