I know of guys who have kids or are in relationships that still punt because that is what men do... every healthy man wants to have sex at the very least once a week.

If his wife or partner isn't putting out then he's going to get that need met elsewhere if he has the means or options to do so. A lot of men don't, so they end up having a sexless marriage and certainly resent that fact.

His ego is already satisfied regarding winning the tingles, so he can see them for what they are – completely unrelated to virtue.
