In my view, "open-minded" means:

1. You will have to spend more money than shown on the price list, and
2. The girl will do a good sales job on you to see how much $$$ she can get out of you in the room for how little she could get away with.

I've been around this who thing for too many years. There is simply NO other definition of open-minded.

Painful reminder: The shops and girls objective is business. To get the maximum dollars for the least effort, without losing your business. The girl is not in love with you and thinking "oh, I love him so much, I want to do all I can to make him happy and satisfied."

Your objective is to get maximum bang for your buck for the least dollar amount.

The two objectives are in conflict.
Wait a minute, now just wait ONE minute. You mean, independent contractors are allowed to quote individual prices for individual jobs rather than a one-size fits all quote? That a customer has the freedom to open his mouth and negotiate price? Does the socialist state govt know about this? Seems the govt certainly wants to curtail free speech. Is capitalism and the free market next?

Talking to women doesn't bother me one bit, but I did go to coed schools.

Perhaps you've never been a contractor, a salesman, a marketeer. The methodology you describe would seem to fit a lot of jobs. But perhaps you're just used to paying MSRP? Half the fun of shopping in world bazaars is sitting down, having a glass of chi, and discussing price.

But, being a nice guy, I am willing to sell a pair of those special glasses that allow you to see the bg's/bfl/mp prices stamped on their foreheads in invisible ink. No discussion needed.

IME: Open minded means it is her choice as to what extras will be provided.

There's even a manual:
