The Indians basically won this test when they won the toss and decided to bat.
It's funny with cricket how many matches are decided by the random result of a coin toss.
The MCG groundkeeper should be sacked.
That's 2 years in a row now he has ruined the Boxing Day test by setting up the wicket to be totally lifeless.
The first two days (when India batted) the wicket had no life in it at all and they notched up a massive score and effectively the test was already won.
By day 3 when Australia batted the wicket had a bit of life in it and a combination of good bowling by India and crap batting by Australia led to Australia all out for a crap total and it was well and truly over.
Australia's bowlers were brilliant with the ball and bat in the second innings but it was all over by then.
In addition to the wicket the other determining factor is that Australia has lost it's two top batsmen - they cheated and deserve to be out! - but the fact remains that Australia has lost it's two top batsmen (Smith ranked 1 or 2 in the World and Warner around no. 3 or 4).
Any victory over Australia these days without Smith and Warner doesn't really mean much.
It's like Barcelona without Messi and Suarez or PSG without Neymar and Mbappe.
But even without Smith and Warner I am confident Australia will win the Sydney test.
The bowlers are in great form with the ball and bat, and a proper wicket will make it a competitive match ... and hopefully we will win the toss ;)

OK punters I have a question for you. Who are in your opinion the greatest all-around athletes? In terms of fitness, strength and skill. I am going to start with Supercross racers. The skill category puts them way out in front for me, managing braking, gears and throttle while routinely nailing sixty foot jumps where getting it wrong would be pretty catastrophic is just next level. Strength is up there on a strength to weight ratio also. As far as fitness goes it is sort of specific to the fact that a 20 lap final is over in 28-32 minutes so they are not endurance athletes. That being said they would have put in plenty of practice laps, a 10 lap qualifier and potentially a 5 lap LCQ. What are your thoughts and why?

Mate, our ODI team are hitting form at the right time, Khawaja can definitely open for the Test team , I’ll leavd Finchy out of the Ashes and let him concentrate on the defending of the World Cup and shorter format.

On the other hand, David Warner can come back in to open in England . He is on fire at the moment at the IPL, three matches , 2 half centuries and an unbeaten 100 ! After 85 and 69, is currently the leading run scorer in the IPL. So where is Langer gonna fit all these in form batsmen in our test team? - it’s a nice problem to have rather than No One in form !!

Ps. Steve Smith only did a 28 and a 20 in his two games in this series. Batting no 4 & 5. So he still has to find some form yet .

The Rooster cruises to a 14 point lead and on auto pilot then the Dragons came alive , two point ball game until the big Prop scored under the black dot in the final 5 min.

Things got even closer down at AAMI Park when the +18 points outsider NZ Warriors with no half and no full back Captain leading the Storms all the way until the final few minutes, Storm was lucky to get a penalty to level then a field goal hit the pole and went in to win by 1 point.

This coming Saturday where the Rooster will play the West Tigers at the SCG and they have introduced a family package deal:

$80.00 for a family of 4, hot dog and bottle of water to all - how good is this?

Credit should be given where credit is due, hopefully other clubs will follow and make the NRL live matches more affordable, so that us NRL fans don't have to watch the game playing in empty stadiums and can only look in envy how on earth does the AFL attracting such big crowds all the times !!
