Sorry to see Verry Elleegant now beaten 4 times in Europe. I think the owner should bring her back to Chris Waller and spell for the Autumn in Sydney. No doubt she could win another group 1 or 2 if under the care of Waller and J Mac .

I reckon verry elleegant retires, reckon the melb cup took a bit too much out of her. I'm interested to see incentivise attack the autumn, perhaps the queen elizabeth

Do you guys have a bet on Melbourne Cup Day ?

Have something each way on no. 3 Knights Order, currently $17 for the win and $4.80 for the place with TAB fixed odds. He won the Sydney Cup on Heavy 10 leading all the way. Proven 2 miler (also won the Brisbane Cup the year before) and loves the wet. Failed last year in the Cup but the ground was very firm, didn't suit this former European horse.

Good luck to us.

Cheers

ps. 2 Pointsbet is offering a Bonus Bet Return on the Cup, up to $50 back in bonus bet if your horse didn't win but ran 2nd, 3rd or 4th. Just put my $50 on @$16.00 with the daily Booster to $18.00 - $900 for the win !!

ps. will share my Trifecta tips tomorrow.

OK, I waited all morning and the rain finally came, so here are my Trifecta Tips for the Melbourne Cup 2022:

1. Gold Trip, top weight in the Caulfield Cup and almost won it, top weight here, but still only a couple of Kg more than the Internationals, so we got to respect
the placing and the final tune up run in the Cox Plate. $21

3. Knights Order, my pick for the win, will be leading into the straight and hard to run down. won the Brisbane Cup on a good track by 4.75L, and lead all the way in this years Sydney Cup in Heavy 10. Dead set two miler in the field. $13

4. Montefilia, classy mare, won 4 group 1's before, her Caulfield Cup 4th was full of merits. It's interesting to see the top 4 placings in the Caulfield Cup are in
similar order here in the Cup, the handicapper knew what he is doing. $10

6. Without a Fight, first of the European 3/4 years old, brings very good form here, don't know about the two miles and wet track, but they can stay and got to
put them in. $11

8. Deauville Legend, for the same reasons above and the red hot favourite, if he wins, most punters today will be happy ? $3.80

11. Young Werther, doesn't win that often, but he had placed in the VRC and AJC Derby, and ran 3rd and 2nd in the Turnbull Stakes this year and last year. also
had his final hit out in the Cox Plate and not that far behind Anamoe, he could be looking for two miles now ? $34

12. Hoo Ya Mal, those three words probably mean something rude in some Chinese dialects, failed in the St Ledger but previous win and a placing alongside
Deauville Legend ties him in. Gai paid a million to bring him over and we got to follow the money. $15

24. Realm of Flowers, has firmed from $15 to $9 second favourite, very good wet track form and ran ok in a Sydney Cup before, did win the Ramsden (2800m)
at Flemington last year by 4.75L with 56kg, he carries 50kg only today. $9.00

Not a lot of outsiders above, so it's not gonna make you rich, but if we start including too many long shots, it's hard to win.

To box the 8 horses above in a Boxed Trifecta will cost you $336.00, half a unit = $168.00

Or, you can take 1, 3, 4, 24 to run 1st and 2nd, the field for third

1st: 1, 3, 4, 24
2nd:1, 3, 4, 24
3rd: Field

Cost $240.00, half a unit = $120

Please gamble responsibly and good luck to all of us, happy punting !!

Go Knights Order !!

I hope you put money on Gold Trip cos you spotted him!

I did, put $20 on it before they jump, I was getting really hopeful and excited when Knights Order took off around the back and leading into the straight , what I don’t understand is why Tim Clark didn’t come out to the middle of the track for better ground, in the end I think the extreme outside barrier had got him beat, used too much petrol early and nothing left in the last 200!

Put too much emphasis on the wet track and it wasn’t heavy enough for my horse.

Finally, we have seen some true contest and competitive matches in the Rugby League World Cup but had to wait until the Semi Finals.

But they are definitely worth the waiting for, the Aussie just edged pass the Kiwi by two points. And then Samoa beat England by a field goal in Golden Point !

So next Sunday we will see the Aussie Vs Samoa, but wait, isn’t it almost like a country vs country but in fact it’s teammates vs teammates?

4 Penrith back lines vs 4 Penrith forwards ! And Luai vs Cleary. I wonder who will be hitting who the harder ?

Well, it’s almost not fair that the Pacific Islanders are being country listed into Samoa, Tonga and Fiji !! In decades, they were all trying to play for New Zealand first, and the “ unwanted discards” ended up playing for their own tiny islands nations. But if you look at what Samoa could achieve in the space of 5 weeks: from getting steam rolled by England 60-6 in round 1 to beating the host country in a classic thriller 27-26 in the semi, they are in with a chance of upsetting the Aussies.

The Australian team is basically the best of the best from the origin teams , and they got a big scare from the Kiwis.

The Samoan probably can use a few more troops from their cousins in Fiji and Tonga. Just image if you add Jason Taumulolo, Kolomatangi, Taukeiaho and Koroisau to the Samoan forwards, they can definitely match it with the Aussies !

Zero chance. We are a below average team with not one single world class player and a mug journeyman coach.

Still I will be up early, and staying up late cheering on the Socceroos again, just like I have been for decades.

Timmy Cahill was a Champion and our best National footballer in the World Game, he not only scored our first ever World Cup goal, he scored a double vs Japan which put us through to our first ever round of 16 game and lost the match to the eventual winner Italy in a stupid penalty, you would wonder what could happen if we hanged in there for a few more minutes and went to penalty shoot out??

Cahill scored a total of 5 goals in three World Cup, he’s a legend .

Leckie's goal was Messiesque!
It was totture watching this because we were literally playing against two teams - Denmark and Tunisia.
Tunisia beat the France B team so a Denmark goal at any time would have meant we were out!

Why not? And don’t forget to bet wider:

Australia to win in extra time is $101 to 1,

Australia to win in penalty shoot out is $26 !

If anything, this World Cup has taught us that Argentina, Brazil, France and Spain could all be beaten by much lower ranked teams. All former world champions,

And the 4 times World Cup winner Germany had already gone home !

Ps. I am having a few bets in the races today, all with bonus bets return and I will put those bonus bets into good use……….haha

Has anyone been making some money by betting on the World Cup matches ?

I won a few same game multis thanks to Messi and Mbappe winning and scoring. And Brazil too.

And then I put $100 on Argentina to win at $6.50 and $100 on France at $6.00 before the quarter finals and $50 on AF Exacta @$7.40 and FA @$6.75

Two of those bets are sure win now , so I’ll just enjoy the match on Monday morning .

Yeah I managed to win $3k. My track record in World Cups has been pretty good, net wins most of the time.

This WC, I went for lots of small bets on some crazy multis. Hit one, 6 games multi from the last 16 through to a couple of QF matches, $1.5k win on a $5 bet.

I also put $100 on Argentina to win the Cup right after they lost to Saudi. I just had a feeling about Messi this time, and the odds given were very good value considering the team and who was in it!

Also hedged some of my bet by betting on France to win the Cup before their SF (no offence to Morrocan fans, they had a lot of luck getting to the SF). Boy, if I hadn't put that hedge, I would've had a heartattack this morning watching the final!

Congratulations to Messi and Argentina, deserved champions of the World!

Same here, won some same game multi when Messi and Mbappe were scoring in earlier matches, plus pick the winner, over 2.5 goals and both team scoring. And used the winning to put $100 each on Argentina and France to win plus $50 each on the Exacta with Argentina/Frances and France/Argentina. So this morning I was just enjoying the game because either way I would collect over a grand .

Could have been a lot more if the match was settled in normal time. Most of my SGM were loss by one leg because it was a draw and extra time which don’t count.

Except one bet of $20 @$15.75 with Di Maria and Mbappe scored a goal, both team to score and over 2.5 goals !! That’s three sessions of RnT for me……. Haha.

But winning money aside , happy to see Messi finally wins a World Cup and fulfilling his destiny. He is now indeed the best player of his generation.

Sorry CR7, you ain’t good enough.

I love hearing about all the highlights and lowlights from around the world. It's great to see Serena's Grand Slam streak being broken by an unseeded player, and I'm sure Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza were thrilled with their double win at Wimbledon. And of course, the Federer vs. Djokovic match sounds like it was intense. I'm always a fan of Federer, but Djokovic put up a good fight.
It's sad to hear about some retirements in the cricket world, but it's great to see Steve Smith having such a successful summer and becoming the number one test batsman in the world. And congratulations to Argentina on their win in the World Cup! It's always exciting to see the different bets and strategies people use, and it sounds like some of you had some successful ones.

It wasn’t Tedesco’s fault the Blues loss on Wednesday. And you simply can’t just drop your captain after one average game .

Now, what a dominant display of tireless and courageous defensive efforts only to be overshadowed by the one sided scoreboard results: 32-6 we beat NSW Blues at Suncorp tonight and winning back to back series !

Congratulations to Billy and his young Maroons team, could this be the reborn of another Maroons Dynasty after the retirement of the best ever State of Origin team with Lockyer, Smith, JT, Slater, GI and co. BTW, they were all there at Suncorp tonight including the low key and haven’t been seen much GI who was throwing the balls around in the change room during warm up.

A white wash in Sydney will be the next target.

Go Queenslanders !! 👏👏👍👍💪💪

Such a courageous performance. Blues just can't finish. I feel for Freddy, time to move on.

Also what's with ado carrs late punch. Really?

There were no game breakers in nsw like Valentine Holmes or Harry Grant. They lost the star power of Troboevic after three minutes, he could have made a diffference at critical times that could easily have made it much tighter. I think I heard some criticism about putting a specialist hooker at centre swapping players around after losing Troboevic. DCE played well. His long run and tackle on a runaway nsw centre was a great rugby league moment. Troboevic body is under engineered for his size I think. It puts more strain on critical parts of it than does the shape of your average player. It is like a suspension bridge that has to carry just a bit too much stress for its engineering. It is prone to failure and collapse.

Can't believe Freddy stuck with Teddy. Too loyal. Should put Nicho at fullback. Big body that can pass and did so very well back in his Storm days. Glad he recalled Cody walker. Don't know why king gutho is warming the bench when arguably he should start

Don't really follow the sport, but when you've already lost the series why play the same blokes, especially older guys who've underperformed? Pick a fresh young side, give some guys a crack to see how they handle it, and if you lose at least you lost trying something different.

I agree, Freddy really has two choices to deal with game III:

1. Stick solid with the game 2 squad and just add the necessary replacement for the injury. They all deserved a redemption and restore some pride for NSW.

2. Like you said, make some wholesale changes and blood as many new young players as possible - give the chances to those who are in some form. What have they got to lose? Baby Blues could deliver a miracle, no ?

Either way, the Queenslanders will probably put 30 on the Blues anyway, does NSW have a team who can score 6 tries against this current red hot Maroons team ?

Go Queensland

Dylan Brown's fine being doubled by the Eels!?! That's the most expensive boob job ever at $40k per boob... surely a punt would have been far less expensive and he doesn't get stood down.

As part of his re-education he needs to be shown this reference site for his 'urges'.

Matty Johns vindicated for calling Cody Walker as no6 prior to game 2. So good to see him unlock that left side.

I was amazed by Koloamatungi's batt pass ... he's one helluva back rower!

Hope Ivan Cleary gets to be part of next year's brains trust again. No better alternatives to Freddy atm...not till bellyache retires from Storm.

I think while Cody did a fantastic job for the Blues. Queensland was really missing that speed and final touches by Reece Walsh. The Maroons had enough opportunities to level or even win the game last night, but some of the passes and kicks especially were just a couple of metres off and the opportunities were gone.

From memory there were three times in the second half:

DCE’s kick to Xavier was too deep.

Munster’s kick for Val Holmes was beaten by the dead ball line , and

When AJ broke free to the Blues 20 meters he passed the ball to the right for DCE was intercepted. Reece would have back himself and scored under the post.

OTOH, Best would have got a triple if his teammates wasn’t a inch or two off side or if Crichton’s finger didn’t touch the high ball, the score could easily be 36-10.

The Blues deserved the win last night to restore some pride and Queenslanders were the rightful series winner.

Let’s do this all again in 2024 !

I got a Power Price offer from Sportsbet for a NSW win by 13+ points for $8.17 so I was pretty confident QLD was over it and NSW had some motivation and something to prove so I put $200 on it.
And as we know NSW won by 14 points so a nice $1,634 pay out for me.
That's 5 x 1 hour punts for me and a few drinks and a nice dinner. So I am a happy man.
But remember "You lose more than you win" and "gamble responsibly" and all that sensible shit :)

Well, there were two particular reasons why I considered myself a “Queenslander” and why I would always support the Maroons:

1. I arrived in Australia as a young skilled migrant in the last century and landed in Eagle Farm as my first job in this country was in Elizabeth St Brisbane. That would make me a Queensland origin , no ?

2. Coming from Hong Kong, I knew nothing about the local sports such as Cricket (boring was my first impression, how could you play a game over 5 days and most of the scores were like 5 dots and 1 run………lol), football to me was soccer and soccer only, rugby league, Union or AFL , never even heard of them.

Then one day in the 90’s. Workmates had organised an event to watch a State of Origin game in Moore Park. Queensland won that match of course and we got to join the after match party at the Bondi Hotel where the Maroons were staying. I was very lucky to meet big Mal the Captain and of course, the rest was history.

You mentioned about Cam Smith/Slater - of course that was correct but they came to the scene much later .

My Rugby League journey went like this:

Supporting Queensland, follow big Mal, then automatically followed the Canberra Raiders.

Big Mal retired and Alfie Langer took over as Maroons Captain so I switched to follow the Broncos, then Lockyer and when Lockyer retired and Smith took over as Captain I switch to the Storms.

Now that all the legends from the golden era have all retired and becoming the coaching team. I just continue to follow the Queenslanders in Storms, Broncos, Cowboys, etc.

Go Queensland!

You couldn't have expected QLD to have the full State of Origin fire in their belly. They'd already won the series, and just trying to rub NSW faces in it wasn't enough motivation for them to want to bash themselves on the field. NSW had a whitewash to avoid as motivation. So we didn't get a classic all in S.O.O game. Good tries scored though by both sides.

Nat Scivers was 111 not out and could have won it or tie it needing 5 runs to win in the last ball.

Which made the Australian no 8 Georgia Wareham’s 37 not out from 14 balls the winning hits of the inning, especially in the final over hitting 6, 6, 4, 6, 4, dot!! A strike rate 264%!!

Well done Georgia, we’ll done Australia, after losing 3 matches in a row. Great come back.

Yeah, redemptions stories are always great and warm your heart. Just look at Ponga since he was overlooked by the Maroons, he played like a man inspired and the rest of the team just lifted around him, if he stays healthy. The Knights could be the real dark horse on 1st October 👏

And don’t underestimate the effects of Sam Walker on the Roosters late season run to the finals. Why they leave out Walker for most part of the year will scratch my head.

Yeah, when Daniher missed that goal from in front, I knew they were in trouble, you just can’t afford to miss those in a Grand Final. The fact that the Pies have 18 behinds vs the Lion’s 8 showed that Collingwood had a lot more scoring opportunities, so they were a more threatening team, could have won by more than 4 points if they were more accurate. Well deserved win I’ll say.

Did much better in Randwick though, had $20 on Kathy O’hara 17, and the Epsom trifecta , only 20%……. Haha, very happy.

I just hope todays NRL Grand Final is high scoring so I can win some more SGM otherwise have to wait till next year. Something like 28-24 Bronco’s way will be great. 5 tries to 4 and Reese Walsh the CC medalist.

Therefore , its highly recommended that you set a deposit limits on All your on-line betting accounts. I have three and I have a daily limits of $50 on each of them. So the maximum amount of money I could lose is $150 a day.

I’m just a small time gambler these days but I’m having better controls.

Ps. During Melbourne Cup I would bet a lot more and I’ll need to go to pub TAB to place my larger Trifecta bets, but that’s just once a year and I won’t go crazy with cash…… haha

Happy punting everyone.

You got one of the three and I got nothing……. Haha

I was 5 min away from winning the pick 9 if the Broncos could hold on, not to be, you got to give it to Nathan and the Panthers, a champion half leading the Championship team to a three peat.

Can’t wait for next year, pretty sure Broncos will be back again .

Spare a thought for Ezra Mam , scored a hat trick in the GF and on the losing side.

It’s Melbourne Cup time again. Very lean time in the Spring Carnival for yours truly. With a couple of very near misses with Mr Brightside and Apulia, both defeated by one James MacDonald. Could have been a much more happier person with a few live doubles still running.

Never mind, hoping for better luck on Cup Day:

1. Gold Trip, defending champion, won the Turnbull and placed in the Caulfield Cup and Cox Plate. $6.50

3. Without a Fight, Caulfield Cup winner picks himself $6.00

5. Vauban: won the last two, demolished the field in Royal Ascot including Absurde. Iif he’s right he will win. $4.20

6. Soulcombe, slow out of the barrier. But it’s Wallers top pick and 4th favourite. May be magic Joe can work some magic on him. His dam side sirer Monsun had already produced multiple Cup winners. Could be close. $10.00

7. Absurde, won the Ebor and won on the distances via hurdles. $12.00

15. Lastotchka, French mate won her last race of 3100 M with 56kg, now has only 51. $19.00

17. Military Mission, won the Herbert Power with 57kg now has 51, and barrier 5, also won the Newcastle Cup. Consistent stayer $23.00

21. Future History, won the Bart Cummings and close up in the Mooney Valley Cup and drops 6kg and a good draw $21.00

So, 8 horses for a boxed Trifecta. Full unit will cost you $336.00, my bet will be $168 for a half unit.

Good luck to us all.

Mate, if you haven’t bet in the Melbourne Cup before, then don’t bet on the Trifecta. Set a small limit just for fun. Like $20 or $40.

Why not pick two of my eight horses below, put an each way bet on them, like $10 to win and $10 to run a place (1st, 2nd or 3rd and you win ).

Or if you pick a horse whose price is more than $10, then bet $5 to win and $5 to place.

Just for fun.

Good luck and happy punting.

7 for 91 with a massive target of 291 ahead, in comes the captain Pat to form a partnership with one “big game “ Glenn Maxwell, the partnership went for 202 and Australia won by 3 wickets with 19 balls to spare.

Maxwell 201 not out from 128 balls, 10 six’s and 21 four’s. and how about Pat Cummins to stay with Maxwell to protect his own wicket with just 12 not out from 68 balls !!! It’s more like a Test match innings !

The Afghans are paying very well in the ODI World Cup with 8 points, besides, any team who could score 5 for 291 against the Aussie and got us 7-91 is not a minnow country anymore.

Go Travis !!

And Labuschagne is batting sensitively and smartly, just rotating the strike and let Travis make the runs, and since the run rates required is so low, he is playing it like a test match. Excellent partnership .

Troboevic body is under engineered for his size I think. It puts more strain on critical parts of it than does the shape of your average player. It is like a suspension bridge that has to carry just a bit too much stress for its engineering. It is prone to failure and collapse.

This has been proved again. It is to do with his height and relative build. His tendons have to do more work and are under more strain than in other players, yet they are made of exactly the same biological material. Think of Cam Smith's physical invulnerability by comparison.

As far as I recall he first stuffed his hamstring while skylarking running along the Manly Corso and was out for a couple of months. It happens to him easily, just running on the Corso.

I don't see how in last night's incident his lower legs hitting the cameraman's legs could have damaged his hamstring. I think it happened an instant before trying to make the tackle on the try scorer.

It is a shame because he is a great footballer when on the field, which is never for any sustained period of time.

Yeah, this is good analysis. It seems to me that in the US professional sports, they have become more sophisticated in identifying the physical limitations of a lot of their players and adjusted every aspect of their training and conditioning to adjust for that. That doesn’t stop guy like Zion Williamson overeating and putting stress on their joints, but still.

Day 1 of the Royal Ascot carnival, just have a small $20 bet on the favourite Charyn, @$5.00 easy $100 win on Day 1, race 1, the Group 1 Queen Anne stake , 1600m down the straight. Well, it’s a PointsBet special if your horse ran 2nd-4th you get your money back in bonus bet.

Royal Ascot brought back a lot of great memories, no more spectacular than in 2019 when Frankie Dettori won the first 4 races on the Thursday in good odds.

Of course I did cashed out $1,000 something!

Time to share my humble Trifecta Tips for the Cup:

The top two favourites sort of pick themselves, the game is to pick another half a dozen horses :

1. Vauban, failed last year, back again with very decent overseas forms, if he is right, he'll win, simple as that. $7.00

2. Buckaroo, in the absence of the Caulfield Cup winner and Via Vistina, Buckaroo is probably the best of the local, but can he stay, I'm betting on the sire of his dame Galileo. $7.00

3. Circle of Fire, Sydney Cup winner seems to be out of form, but Maher is the trainer and Zahra won the last two Cups, it's a good roughie @$21.00

4. Warp Speed, beaten a long way in the Caulfield on a wet track. back to a firm track could turn the table around. could be the best stayer in the field. $34.00

8. Land Legend, another Waller horse in top form, winning the Metropolian then 3rd in the Caulfield Cup, and by Galileo too. $13.00

9. Absurde, stablemate of the top weight, bringing some good UK forms with him and has McEvoy on the saddle, who had won 3 Melbourne Cups. $10.00

13. Onesmoothoperator, won the Geelong Cup which had been a good guide for the UK raiders, and Williams is winning everything with Bella. Hot Jock. $8.00

15. Sea King, won the Bendigo Cup by 4 lengths, and by Sea The Stars, drawn wide, so we will find out how good is Hollie Doyle. $14.00

It will cost $336.00 for one unit to box the 8 horses or $168.00 for half a unit.

Good luck to all of us.

Cheers

The very average looking cricket chick that married Mitchell really did punch above her weight.
The Indians are fucking ugly bastards!

The Indians have great hair. Pat Cummins is ok but he's no Brad Pitt or Chris Hemsworth. If he wasn't famous I wouldn't give him a second glance. 6/10.

Lillee had much better hair ... on his chest ! And Marsh, Yallop, Laird, Boon etc had much better hair ... on their lip.

Indians humbled slaughtered disgraced embarrassed destroyed ... and fuck you Mohammed Siraj!
If Australia is per capita maybe the best sporting nation in the world then India would be per capita the worst sporting nation in the world. They are fucken hopeless!
There are 1.5 billion of them and they put all their resources and talent into just one sport - cricket - and they cant even dominate that one. And they have no other sporting achievements. Yeah OK, a little bit of success in hockey, but that's it - zero in the Olympics, soccer, basketball, rugby, tennis, golf, motor racing, boxing etc
OK they are a developing nation, but Brazil is also a developing nation and they put all all of their resources and talent into one sport - football/soccer - but at least they dominate it - and they also produce the occasional MMA, motor racing, long jump champ as well - and there are only 200 million of them.

Brother rooter, well said!

Just one point though, if we are to talk about per capita sporting achievements, then our cousins across the Tasman must be worthy of a mention with higher accolade ? NZ has a population of 5.2M which is even less than the city of Sydney ! Just look at the All Blacks (and their records vs the Wallabies !!). Their Cricket Team is more than competitive in the world stage and they had won plenty of Olympic Golds.

One last point, what about the America's Cup, we won it once and Bob Hawkes wanted to declare a national holiday ! and how many times the Kiwis had won it ? A Fiver !! Goodness gracious me.

Aussies are absolutely destroying India.
Travis Head is scoring like its a 20/20 match and hitting the cricket ball like its a soccer ball.
Mitchell Starc is freaky the way he always takes one or two wickets in the first few overs.
Only the QLd rain can save india.
Andc by the way I don't think it's cool to call a man a primate although technically we all are primates.
And the commentator who called Bumrah a primate is an Indian ... but maybe that's just the classic Indian caste racist system in action. She is actually pretty hot and not a lesbian? (I think) which is rare in women's cricket.

And what about good old Steve Smith, finally gets a ton and what a relief we could see from his face. I used to win a lot of money betting on the Cricket Tests especially when it was Aussie vs India, I always betted on Aussie win, Steve Smith top scored and with a Century. So many free punts back then.....haha

And Mitchell Starc, still remember him taking out the Kiwi Captain in the first over of the ODI World Cup at the MCG, what a ball !

The only thing saving India from being slaughtered and embarrassed again is the Brisbane rain.
Aussies don't care about losing wickets at this stage, just making quick runs and sending India in to bat again and bowl them out again. Great to see the Aussies being sporting and making a contest of it rather than settling for an easy draw.
The quicker India bowl Australia out the better!
Aussies have India exactly where they want them - by the throat! Only the rain can save India now!

Indeed, what a brilliant debut for the kid!

And attempts by Kohli to unsettle Sam only resulted in him accepting and copping a 20% match fee fine, lol.

Boland is a legend. He should always be picked ahead of Hazlewood.
Anyway good to see the selectors have finally grown some balls and picked Konstas and dropped the protected species and overrated Mitchell Marsh. Beau Webster and Boland have saved the test for Australia.
Next to go should be Kawaja. Can't even get "did somebody say KFC" right. Fucken useless! And Labuschagne is on thin ice too.

You do realise Hazelwood was ranked the number 2 bowler in world cricket until he got injured and Rabada jumped him in the rankings. Starc is the lowest ranked of the of the Aussie quicks.

I think Marsh is done but you never know with the selectors and Green will probably come straight back in too

Giving Bumrah the Player of the Series award was very generous and charitable. It shoulda been Pat Cummins. Took wickets, made runs, captained very well, and always made runs or took wickets when it really mattered and turned the match.
There should also be an award for The Most Shit Player of the Series. That would go to McSweeney and every Indian player except for Bumrah

There was no way anyone but Bumrah was winning that, 32 wickets @ 13 is just elite. Patty Cummins was as good as he always is but Bumrah just looked like he was bowling on a different wicket to everyone (other than Boland at the SCG I guess). The only time Bumrah looked human was his first spell on Boxing Day.

Realistically our win was down to being able to have multiple bowlers be able to apply pressure for long periods of time.

We are doing quite well at the moment, the Perth incident was basically a scheduling oversight. Should have started the Test Series in Brisbane and we probably would have beaten the Indians 5-0 !

That said, until we can beat them at home, we can’t really say we are dominating. So hat off to the Kiwis. Fancy beating them at home in the world’s most populous country with over 1.4 Billions people with a touch over 5 million souls.

Sorry mate,

I tend to disagree, if Bumrah was fit and well and bowling on Sunday, I’m not so sure we could run down the 161. He could have easily taken another 4-5 wickets and the entire Indian squad would have lifted too.

The series could well have ended in a draw and the Indians would retain the trophy again.

Just my two cents.

Australia Open time again.

Have we seen the last of Nick Kyrgios ?

Not always a fan of Nick but when he is playing good tennis and not being a bad boy, it's great to watch.

and according to Wiki, he has won over USD$22 millions in career earnings plus endorsements, so won't be feeling sorry for his career ending pre-maturely, he should be set for life from here.

Just a quick wrap on Nick's tennis career, at 29, his highest ranking was 11, while he hasn't won any major and had only reached a single Grand Slam Final in the Wimbledon in 2022, he had beaten 5 former World No. 1 players in Nadal, Federer, Murray, Novak and Medvedev. So, it's fair to say, at his best, he can certainly match it with the best in the world.

So, do we turn our attention to Alex de Minaur now ? at 25 yr, Alex's highest ranking was 6, currently no. 8 so he has already surpassed Nick in ranking and sitting on USD$16M career earnings and still counting. One thing we can say about Alex is his hard working and playing very consistently, especially in 2024. Let's hope he does well in the AO in 25.

Go Alex,

Go Aussie !!

Cheers.
